Dr. Julia Trebing is a Doctor of Psychology with post-doctoral study in Neurology.  She is a Board Certified Expert of Diplomate status for the American Academy of Traumatic Stress and a Certified Professor & Supervisor for the International Examiners of Child Psychotherapy & Play Therapy.  For over twenty-five years, Dr. Trebing has offered holistic, psychological care for children and their families along with her parenting programs.  She has lectured nationwide on topics including Post Traumatic Stress, True Discipline and The Ages and Stages of Child Development.  While she continues to lecture year round, she offers her Positive Parenting lecture, free, to local schools and churches, throughout the month of April.  Creative Therapies has the President, Governor and Mayor proclaim April “Positive Parenting Education Month.”  Today, she is well-known and highly acclaimed for her unique, successful, short-term, solution oriented therapy.  Her work is highlighted in the book, Short-Term Play Therapy for Children.  Some of her short works including:  The Language of Curative Factors in Play Therapy; The Developmental Stages, Ages 2-11: A Quick Reference; Parenting Language Skills; and The Why and How to Teach Children to Play are available at creativetherapies.net
